Amiga Specialty, a specialist managing general agent (MGA) backed by B.P. Marsh, has appointed James Rasmussen as Managing Director for its Management Liability division covering the UK and Europe, effective immediately.
Based in London, Rasmussen will report to Group Managing Director & Founder Adam Kembrooke. In his new role, he will lead the development of the product line, define strategic priorities, and collaborate with Amiga’s capacity partners to deliver an enhanced service and product offering for brokers.
Kembrooke said: “James brings a wealth of experience and technical knowledge in the Management Liability space where he has repeated success in building high-performing teams.

The role represents a further stage in Amiga Specialty’s growth since its launch in summer 2025. Rasmussen joins from Nexus Underwriting, where he served as Managing Director of Management Liability.
He also founded the niche financial lines MGA Plus Risk in 2017 and has previously held senior underwriting and leadership positions at Chubb, Travelers, Marsh, and Willis. Rasmussen began his insurance career in 1998.
