mea Platform, a provider of intelligent insurance processing technologies and ACORD Solutions Group (ASG), an industry-owned provider of next-generation digital solutions, have entered a strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of automated underwriting processes and digital data exchange for the global insurance industry.
Through this collaboration, mea Platform will integrate with ASG’s global data exchange platform, ADEPT, a one-to-many placing interface serving as a universal hub for exchanging placing, accounting, and claims data between insurers, brokers, and managing general agents (MGAs) directly or via third-party placing platforms.
mea’s Platform automates transactions throughout the underwriting, policy administration, claims, and placing lifecycle, allowing clients to streamline operations and focus on the core differentiators for their business.
The integration of mea’s data extraction AI platform with ADEPT’s placing interface aims to allow re/insurers to expand the amount of data they receive in a structured API format from digital placing transactions.
This will enable automated ingestion and integration of standardised data aligned with ACORD’s Global Reinsurance & Large Commercial (GRLC) Standards directly into downstream systems.
Chris Newman, President International, ACORD Solutions Group, commented, “This partnership reflects ASG’s mission to drive global insurance innovation through collaboration using solutions accelerating standardised global data exchange.
“mea Platform has built a respected team delivering high-impact insurance processing solutions. By integrating ADEPT, mea’s growing user base can seamlessly connect to ACORD Standards worldwide for placing, accounting, and claims, amplifying value and unlocking new opportunities.”
Martin Henley, Chief Executive Officer, mea Platform, added, “mea isn’t just automating insurance processes—we’re fundamentally reimagining how re/insurers operate in a digital-first world. As the insurance industry becomes increasingly digitised, data standards and data exchange and ingestion solutions will become ever more critical to connect market participants and automate workflows.
“This integration with ADEPT marks a pivotal step in insurance industry modernisation, enabling re/insurers to process business with unprecedented efficiency and data completeness regardless of how it arrives, whether through traditional channels or placing platforms, helping them to thrive in an increasingly digital world.”
