AEGIS London, a syndicate at Lloyd’s, has named Sarah Yuile as an underwriter in its International Casualty team.
This strategic hire reflects the company’s focus on enhancing its underwriting expertise and advancing the growth of its International Casualty portfolio across priority markets.
Yuile brings significant experience in the Canadian insurance sector. She spent six years at QBE as Senior Underwriter for Canada and the Middle East, working initially in Toronto before relocating to London in 2015.
Most recently, she served as Portfolio Manager for QBE’s London Market European business.
In her new role, she will support the development of business in key regions such as Canada, Australia, and Europe. Her background in structuring customised, cross-border liability solutions will help reinforce AEGIS London’s position in these areas.
Stephen Merrick, Head of International Casualty at AEGIS London, commented: “We plan to further grow the International Casualty book, in particular within the Canadian market, and Sarah will be a great asset to the business and our clients. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge across a broad range of classes and territories.
“Sarah’s appointment underlines our commitment to investing in top talent and we are delighted to welcome her to AEGIS London and the International Casualty team.”
Yuile added: “The opportunity to work alongside a team of expert underwriters at such a respected brand was a huge draw for me. I am very much looking forward to this new challenge and contributing to the team’s continued success.”
