Specialist Risk Group (SRG), an insurance intermediary backed by Warburg Pincus and Temasek, has announced the appointment of Neil Nimmo as CEO – UK.
In his new role, Nimmo will oversee SRG’s Retail, Wholesale, and Underwriting businesses in the UK. His leadership will be key to scaling the Group’s successful model across these core channels. He will also join the SRG Operating Board and Group Executive Committee.
Nimmo most recently served as CEO and Chairman of Lockton, where he led the company’s growth and international expansion until retiring on 1st May 2024.
He joined Lockton in 2007 as part of the management team that led the acquisition and turnaround of Alexander Forbes. In 2016, he became Managing Partner of Lockton Companies LLP in the UK and CEO of Lockton International Holdings. He later served as Chairman and CEO from May 2021 and acted as Special Advisor to the Chairman of the Inc. board in 2022.
Earlier in his career, Nimmo served as a Manager Director at Marsh and Johnson & Higgins.

The appointment of a UK CEO marks a key milestone in expanding SRG’s leadership capability and depth, following the appointment of Collin Yap as CEO – Asia Pacific in 2024.
