Compre appoints Rachel Bardon as CUO

Compre, a Bermuda-domiciled international legacy reinsurance group, has appointed Rachel Bardon to the newly-created role of chief underwriting officer (CUO), effective 1st September 2025.

Compre Rachel BardonBased in Bermuda, Bardon will join Compre’s executive committee and report to Group CEO Will Bridger. She will also join the board of Compre’s Bermuda-based reinsurer, Pallas Reinsurance Company Limited.

In her new role, Bardon will be responsible for Compre’s business development activities across the group, including new business origination, reinsurance underwriting, transaction execution, and strategic market development.

Bardon brings 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. She joins Compre after nearly a decade at Hudson Structured Capital Management, where she most recently served as Partner. There, she focused on underwriting, investing, and portfolio management across multiple funds, with an emphasis on private investments in P&C insurance enterprises and collateralised reinsurance—both prospective and retrospective.

A qualified actuary, Bardon’s experience spans underwriting, investing, portfolio management, pricing, reserving, fund and actuarial valuations, capital modelling, and risk management.
