Aon names Rupert Poland as Head of EMEA Digital Asset practice

Aon, the global insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed Rupert Poland as Head of Europe, the Middle East and Asia (EMEA) Digital Asset practice

Aon logoPoland will be based in London and report to Tom Davis, Aon’s Executive Director, EMEA Financial Services Group.

In his new role, Poland will work with teams to expand Aon’s Digital Asset practice, developing risk solutions and accelerating the creation of specialist insurance offerings.

Most recently, Poland served at Marsh as a Digital Asset Leader for UK FINPRO. He brings significant experience in developing market-recognised insurance solutions tailored for digital asset companies and risk quantification frameworks.

The broker continues to evolve existing digital asset insurances covering theft, loss and destruction of digital assets, while developing emerging solutions such as staking insurance.

Aon is also working with both crypto-native and traditional financial institutions, exploring risk transfer solutions ranging from captives to credit facility development.
