Global insurer and reinsurer Everest has announced the appointment of Jim Lye as Head of Everest Global Markets (EGM), its London-based wholesale division.
Lye joins from Antares Managing Agency Limited, where he spent 12 years in roles including Energy Underwriter, Head of Energy & Terrorism, and most recently, Active Underwriter.
Prior to that, he served as Underwriting and Claims Manager at Infrassure Ltd, overseeing underwriting and claims management in the oil, gas, and petrochemicals sector, primarily handling upstream and offshore risks.
He began his career at BPP-Tech as a Senior Engineer, focusing on insurance claim support and litigation in the areas of offshore construction, offshore operations, and
hurricane losses.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Everest stated, “With his demonstrated leadership and strategic vision, Jim is well-equipped to elevate client and partner services and drive innovation within this key segment.”
