Global insurer American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced the promotion of Akash Lakhani to Head of Marine, GCC & North Africa (NA).
In his new role, Lakhani will lead AIG’s marine operations across the GCC and NA, focusing on underwriting excellence and delivering long-term value to clients and partners.
He brings more than a decade of experience in marine insurance and risk management within the region.
Lakhani joined AIG in September 2021 as Business Development Manager and most recently served as Senior Underwriter – Marine.
Prior to that, he was a Client Executive at Marsh Middle East and Africa and also held roles at Oman Insurance Company and Aon Risk Solutions.
