Coterie Insurance, a tech-enabled and data-focused managing general agent (MGA), has appointed Mike Albert as Chief Technology Officer and Allan Egbert as Chief Platform Officer.<\/p>\n

Albert and Egbert have worked with Coterie as advisors since early 2025. The two previously co-founded Ask Kodiak, an insurtech that built an appetite and eligibility platform used in commercial insurance distribution. Ask Kodiak was acquired by Applied Systems in 2021.<\/p>\n
Coterie is adopting a dual-leadership approach for its technology operations, with the aim of addressing the operational and development needs of its platform.<\/p>\n
The two have worked together for nearly 20 years in various capacities, including roles at AgencyPort and involvement in Insurtech Boston.<\/p>\n
Albert will be responsible for engineering strategy, technical architecture, and the company\u2019s innovation plans. Egbert will oversee platform infrastructure, operations, DevOps, and performance.<\/p>\n
